Installation
- We have recently upgraded our network to run at 10Gbit on the Backbone. Some of our Fiber links are not linking up. If we switch back to the 1Gbit SFP’s the link comes up. We tried swapping out the non-working 10Gbit SFP’s with the working ones. The 10Gbit SFP’s that were not working now work in different switches and the ones that were working no longer work in the same switches. We then swapped the working switches with the none working switches and the problem moves as well, meaning that the switches that were working cease to work when swapped leading us to believe that we have bad fiber. We know that the fiber works on the 1Gbit SFP’s….. Any Suggestions?
Cabling
- I ordered a Rack Mount 3000VA UPS and was dismayed when it arrived with this Power Connector: (See Photo). I have only a regular 120V Outlet next to my rack. What do I need to do to get this plugged in. Do I need to get my electrician to swap out the Outlet? Can I cut the Plug and just add a regular Plug? Is this 120V?
